To be inducted as a free lancer, I had to go through an English Language and Scientific Editing Test. There is no face to face interview. You are judged on the basis of the score you get in the assigned test.

Entretien
The hiring process starts with the initial application, followed by some skills assessments, including a grammar test and a sample editing assignment. The evaluation can take some time, but it’s necessary to evaluate if the editors meet the company’s quality standards. Communication was smooth, and Ragini was always friendly and helpful. In summary, the process is thorough but fair, and it gives a good understanding of the expectations before starting.
I just had been through Enago's hiring process. It was pretty smooth and straightforward - after editing their test sample, I was offered the role of a freelance editor within a week. The hiring team was cordial and flexible in accomodating my concerns.
