Entretien
Frantic screener call from a recruiter for a rapid-need; scheduled for 2 phone calls that didn't happen. Same thing following week, though finally did speak to the hiring manager about the position and employment at DMI. If I was looking for a job (vs. career with company), then it would have made sense. I say this because: 1) Clearly HR/Recruitment doesn't behave like the face of a company, 2) the person with whom i spoke has never been to the DMI office, nor has ever met their supervisor, and 3) the hiring manager, who's been in their role for 7 years, doesn't have a defined role or scope of work at all - whatever the client asks of them. This is unheard of in government consulting. Doing a job, putting in their time, no "career" to speak of, and is fine with that. Not for me at this stage in my career tho. I emailed the recruiter with "thanks but no thanks".
The following week, the recruiter called me to schedule a phone interview with the same person. Other Glassdoor reviews confirm my experience is normal for them.

Standard application and interview screening. I knew it wasn’t for me after a few questions and I wanted to decline (maybe I wasn’t feeling motivated). Never followed up for the next steps and I didn’t hear back.
