First of all, I must warn that this recruitment process is A WASTE OF TIME for people who are looking for serious jobs. I went to the first "intervie" since I had just started to look for a job and I wanted to practice my interview skills. That's it.
Before going to the interview and after doing some research, I found this "company" quite suspicious. Apart from all the bad reviews I found on different websites, the first email I got from them after my application via Linkedin said that I applied via Reed, where I do not even have a profile, plus they said they were interested in my teamwork skills, which I have, and my customer service experience, which I do not have. Thus, I was not expecting much from people that are mistaken on the people they want to recruit.
The first "interview" is not a proper interview, it's a 5-7 minute chat with the CEO, who fortunately was very nice. However, everything they tell you is lies. Firstly, they tell you that you will go through four stages in this job and eventually you'll become your own manager.
Secondly, he told me they worked for these big companies like Shell, direct debit companies and stuff. However, as I had read before in Glassdoor reviews this is a lie.
Thirdly, just THE SAME WAY I had read in Glassdoor, I was invited to the next day interview or assessment, even though I was the second one interviewed and there were more than 30 people waiting for being interviewed, and he told me no more than four people would be invited to the next day.
Then when I asked him questions he just tried to avoid them. For example, I asked how many days of holidays they offered. According to the face he pulled, I don't think he was expecting that question, which I found odd. He answered that "depended on the experience in the company", therefore I asked him to give me an example of how many holiday days would a one year employee enjoy; to what he answered, "it depends".
Plus, the salary is 100% commission based. When I asked him which was the minimum hour salary he replied that it depended on the commission. Therefore, I guess they do not respect the national minimum wage.
The job they advertise is a complete lie. They say it's a marketing assistant role but what they want is a face-to-face, door-to-door sales representatives/charity fundraisers. They just want young, manipulable people who are happy to work commission-based in a "happy flower modern" environment. They present themselves as professionals but they are not. I am sorry to put such a bad review since they seemed nice people, but this is a waste of time and MONEY.
