As a SOC Analyst at DataProtect, my experience has been a mix of challenges and learning opportunities. However, there are several areas where I believe improvements could be made. Firstly, the onboarding process was not as thorough as I had hoped. While I received some initial training, I felt that there was a lack of structured guidance on the tools and processes we use daily. This made it difficult to hit the ground running and fully understand my responsibilities from the outset. In terms of team dynamics, I noticed that communication could be significantly improved. There were times when critical information about ongoing incidents was not shared promptly, leading to confusion and delays in our response efforts. A more collaborative approach to communication would enhance our effectiveness as a team.
