2. 1st Round: Hiring Manager Interview
Focus: Analytical thinking, retail business context
Example questions:
"How would you define key retail metrics like sell-through, gross margin, and inventory turnover?"
"Can you describe a project where your insights directly influenced business decisions?"
3. 2nd Round: Technical Interview
Led by Data/Analytics Team Members
Topics:
SQL proficiency (e.g., joins, subqueries, window functions)
Data modeling or experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
Example task: Write a SQL query to identify top-selling products over time
Possible take-home case or live walkthrough of a dataset
4. 3rd Round: Cross-Functional Interviews
Interviewers from marketing, merchandising, operations, etc.
Evaluates: Communication, storytelling with data, collaboration
Questions may include:
"How do you handle conflicting priorities from multiple stakeholders?"
"How do you visualize trends for a non-technical team?"
5. Final Round: Behavioral + Culture Fit
With a senior leader or director
Focus on David Yurman’s brand values, work style, and long-term alignment
Questions like:
“Why David Yurman?”
“Describe a time you disagreed with a stakeholder. What did you do?”
