The initial interview was conducted on the phone with the company's CEO, J. Sasidhar (Sasi). During the interview, he informed me that an aspect of the job included flying his employees out to a business convention along with their friends for an all-inclusive trip. He explained this was a networking opportunity that he did with the company. In my second interview, with an employee, I inquired about the all inclusive trip Sasi discussed. She admitted that they had never done anything like that and was confused as to why he mentioned this to me. Sasi followed up with me after my second interview and scheduled a Zoom call with me. During this call, I asked him again about the all-inclusive convention. It just didn't sit right with me. He denied ever telling me this. He told me it was not something that this ever company did. I said okay and I was willing to move on to the next set of questions. Then he asked me, "Would that be a problem? If I got you a ticket would you fly here?" I felt extremely uncomfortable and he repeated the question after I asked him to. I responded by saying that if it was business related then I would. He said okay. He then asked me if I was willing to put off grad school to take the job. I am three courses away from graduating and informed him several times. I said no and asked if this was an expectation. He said it wasn't. Then he asked me how much I paid for my undergraduate and graduate studies. These questions were extremely unprofessional and intrusive. His behavior discouraged me to continue with the company. I withdrew my name after the interview.
