First interview was a phone call with the actual CEO of the company (it's a very small company). She informed me the second interview would be a panel interview with some of the other team members. She detailed what they were looking for, the team dynamics, how the company operates, different platforms they use, etc. She asked questions about my background, why I'm looking to move companies, the challenges they are facing and how the role will help, etc. I was caught off guard because I was asked about experience with things that were not posted or mentioned on the job description at all. Overall it didn't feel like it'd be a culture fit for me and I wasn't offered a second interview so the feeling was mutual. Advice to company: Please include all criteria you are looking for in the job description so potential candidates know whether their skills match or not.
