I made a quick call with an HR person to check the requirements for the position and if I could be a potential fit. A follow up meeting was organised with the manager and a local HR person. They asked me to prepare a presentation about a problem the company is facing with very general and broad open questions. The document was no well written neither and some questions were difficult to understand. The time required to prepare such presentation would require months on work so I did my best in a few hours I could dedicate to it during my free time. The manager arrived late so I couldn't use all the scheduled time since after me they have another candidate to interview. I saw him at the door while going out (like in the movies). After 1 month I received a message saying that they won't move forward with me giving zero feedback and if I want some, I should contact the manager, so I did. Zero response. I hoped at least to receive any sort of feedback after spending several hours of my free time giving free suggestions/consulting about how to solve the issues of his team. It was a waste of time.
