I was scheduled for a skype interview. Logged in on time, things ran just a few minutes late. The manager comes on screen and announces he's going to do a roll call to make sure everyone is online. Wait what? Nobody mentioned this would be a GROUP video interview. First flag goes up.
The manager talked for a straight 10-15 minutes. The only questions asked were: name and earliest start date. Literally. We were not asked about past experience, qualifications, degrees, etc. Salary, benefits and working days were not discussed. There wasn't even a Q&A session. The manager stated that he was going to give his "notes" to the team and they'd select who they wanted to bring in for an in person, 1:1 interview.
I got a call an hour later asking if I could come in Saturday morning. I agreed, set a time and asked if the position was commission only, included benefits, etc. I was told, "uhhh... some positions have a base salary and some are commission. Some are a little of both. It depends what position you're selected for. Same with benefits. There's some that you can pick right away. And others where down the line, you can buy them. It depends what position you get."
When I spoke to the individual who set the first "interview" up, I asked this same question. She told me they'd go over it in said interview. Based on this and the others reviews I'm pretty comfortable in saying I believe this is a mostly commission, outside sales job. Possibly even a pyramid scheme. Legit companies are not this evasive when it comes to salary and benefits.
And I have never had a group video interview, nor an interview where my experience wasn't touched on even a little bit.
