I had 5 interviews, which may sound like a lot, but they were all very pleasant and well organized.
The first interview was a 30‑minute call with the recruiter in charge of my process, to get to know me a bit and to explain the full interview pipeline. In the second interview, I had a one‑hour conversation with the Team Lead to learn more about the team and the project, and for them to get to know me as well. While it’s true, as someone mentioned in another review, that the Team Lead initially seemed low on energy, I brought it up with him and it turned out he was sick at the time. Even so, I found him very receptive and genuinely interested in what I had to say during the interview, and this became even more evident in later stages of the process once he had recovered and was clearly full of energy again. After that, we had a technical interview with a Senior Developer and the Team Lead to see how I approach software design. Then I had a 20‑minute interview to make sure I understood React and that I make informed decisions rather than following dogma. Finally, there was a wonderful culture interview, where two people responsible for different teams went into more detail about what it’s like to work with the team and to see whether the company was a good fit for me and I was a good fit for them.
Throughout the whole process I felt supported and valued, and I noticed a lot of empathy and a real willingness to help me with anything I needed.
I’m really happy I was able to take part in this hiring process and, above all, that I got the position, where they truly tried to find the best conditions that would fit me as a person.
