I applied online and was prompt to get an email from a recruiter. I was given a link to schedule a 30 minute teams interview. This recruiter was on time and friendly. Asked about my experience and general questions about school and goals. I was scheduled for a second interview at a local branch. The day of my scheduled interview, the recruiter called me 2 hours before and told me they had to reschedule because they were sick. Rescheduled 2 weeks later.
You are scheduled 2 hours total: One hour of observation and one hour interview. I arrived a few minutes before noon and spent about 20 minutes getting a tour and observation before I was greeted and taken back for the interview two members of upper management. One manager was very nice and friendly. The other manager, not so much. I was getting used car finance manager from him. It was clear he didn't want to be there and showed very lack of interest. I was asked numerous questions as to why I moved to this area. Not that its any of their business. Then I was asked about my experience and basically felt like I was dragged through the mud. The unfriendly manager made me feel uncomfortable and gave the sense of his superiority and its all about making money. He explained that everyone that works for him is money motivated and that is all that matters.
The friendly manager also explained that the management trainee is a grind. 46 hours minimum a week. You will clean rental cars in a suit and getting dirty. The whole face to face interview was so uncomfortable. One of my worst interviews I ever encountered. After 45 minutes of interrogation, I was told I should hear something at the end of the week. Even if they do all, I will not be accepting the job. The whole operation screams good old boys club. You either fit in or you don't. There is no in between.
I had three rounds of interviews with different managers for various locations. The recruiter who reached out was super nice and friendly. It was a typical interview process where they ask you about your experience and qualifications. The questions per round were similar.

More conversational than a typical interview style making it much more in depth and interesting. As a candidate you also get to know how the person across you made it to where they are now, using the same trainings you would eventually learn.

Question 1
What would you do differently than other potential candidates to become an amazing MT.
It was an average difficulty interview with the most standard, basic questions. The interviewer had a deadpan, annoyed face and looked and sounded like she didn't want to be there. I didn't prepare for it and didn't pass, but I don't think most people will have a problem if they just prepare beforehand
