The process included HR screening, a challenge assessment, a technical interview, and finally a People/Culture round.
In the technical stage, I was told they hadn’t seen an assessment like mine in years and received very positive feedback. Despite this, I was rejected in the culture round, where they said I wouldn’t fit into their culture as I come from a big company and would need more processes and structure. This feedback felt quite absurd, and the company itself didn’t seem to have much structure.
The process dragged on for almost 1.5 months, which felt like a waste of time. If culture fit is the main deciding factor, that round should be held earlier.

I went through multiple steps in the hiring process, including completing a video recording, attending two interviews with different HR representatives, and finishing an assessment. Despite progressing through these stages, communication unfortunately stopped at the screening interview phase.
After being asked to provide my availability and being advised to wait for the next steps, I did not receive any further updates. While I understand that hiring timelines can change, more consistent communication would have been appreciated given the time and effort invested in the process. Waste of time.

Overall I felt the interview process was okay, other than the fact that they were very slow to respond between each stage I felt it was constructive compared to other companies I have interviewed for in the past. I made it to the second last stage which was an in-person interview & presentation of the technical test they had me complete. I found this to be enjoyable, but unfortunately I was left quite disappointed to be ghosted by the recruiter that was working with me on their behalf. I was explicitly told in interviews that as a company they don’t ‘ghost’ people as they like to provide feedback should they not progress, and while I understand they don’t have full control over what the recruiter chooses to do I felt it was a really bad reflection on them as well as the recruitment company they chose to find me (Bluebird recruitment). I think after an unsuccessful first stage interview I wouldn’t have been as bothered, but considering this recruiter invited me to interview for this role after finding me on LinkedIn and I had put so much time and effort to make it to the second last stage, I find it unacceptable that he couldn’t even type a 2 word text to let me know I was unsuccessful in progressing. Again I understand ghosting is common especially in tech, but that doesn’t make it right. The company itself seemed like a nice place to work and the people were super friendly.
