J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Everforth Apex Systems

      Entretien

Being that this is a recruiting/talent sourcing agency the interviews were with other companies, however, the companies were not the problem - the recruiter and his professionalism were. The recruiter was extremely dismissive of my concerns, rude, and cut me off when I expressed hesitance toward any of the two roles he surfaced to me. The interviews themselves were great as I didn't have to interact with the Apex employee. I had voiced concerns which this employee glossed over/past and continued to push me toward going further in the interviews and through the process. When I voiced said concerns, he resorted to sales tactics and ignoring those concerns, or proving that he wasn't listening in the first place. The Apex systems employee, a "senior", emailed me about two positions which were good fits, and were within my realm of specialty. However, this recruiter believed he was doing me a favor by getting me a pay increase over my current role, and when I asked for details regarding benefits, and explicitly spelled out my timeline and concerns - he completely ignored them, emailing me while I was out of town on vacation essentially demanding I return an answer to him and the company interested. I ultimately got a better offer all around with incentives and better benefits, not to mention it was a FTE while the Apex role was contract, which I accepted. When I informed him that I was not moving forward, he sent me an email calling me unprofessional and explicitly stating that I had "burned a bridge" with Apex Systems. I keep this email because of the sheer lack of awareness in calling me unprofessional while he could have easily attempted to ask me literally even one question or saying "while that's unfortunate, best of luck" or better yet - say nothing. Instead, this technical recruiter showed deliberate negative emotional response to losing out on a contract, and therefore a telling lack of professionalism, to the point that when I see their postings I will not recommend my network go through them for any reason and will gladly share my experience. Granted this might be one bad apple - but it was by far the worst experience I have had with a recruiter. I showed my wife the email from the recruiter, who is in HR and has experience in Talent Acquisition, and she simply could not believe someone would write it, let alone claim professionalism while saying what they said. While I believe the individual in question responded emotionally and "in the moment" perhaps they should consider their actions and behavior, slow down and think about what they say to prospective talent that they could be placing. You never know how large someone's network is, or when they'll be in the market again - and the actions from this experience will have me avoiding this company.
