I had an initial phone screen with HR which felt rushed and a bit cold and perfunctory, but that can be par for the course with phone screens.
That first call was followed very closely by a 1:1 video chat with the hiring manager, which went well. At the end of the call, the hiring manager said she'd like to move me forward.
I got an email from HR attempting to schedule the third interview, and I responded with my schedule. No response after several days, so I followed up, and then a few days later, followed up again. After that, I stopped. A few weeks later, my contact in HR emailed to say she'd erroneously emailed me when she meant to email another candidate for a different role, and she didn't have an update on where I stood in the hiring process.
Another couple of weeks later, I received an email letting me know they wouldn't move forward with my candidacy. I'd long stopped considering this a role I wanted to pursue, but was glad not to be ghosted entirely.
All in all, it felt clumsy and inconsiderate.
