Applied for entry-level job packing and shipping prescription medications. Contacted by phone by third-party recruiter, who gave me some idea of what the company was looking for in the interview as far as enthusiasm and personality; recruiter was very nice and personable. Arrived at interview to discover that it was basically a cattle call, with half a dozen or so department supervisors conducting the interviews. Unfortunately, the guy I interviewed with and I didn't click -- he basically stared at me and read generic questions out of a booklet, and any attempts I made to lighten the tone of the interview were met with silence. The kicker was when I asked about the corporate culture, and he leaned in and, in a conspiratorial tone, whispered that the workplace was "very *diverse*." That's not what I was asking about, dude. To be fair, it sounds like it would be a decent place to work, even though the pay is on the low side, and sometimes you just don't connect with an interviewer. Had I been interviewed by a different supervisor, I may have actually heard back from the company.
