I was hired as a host and eventually began working the To-Go counter. Then I began serving and it was at that point that a bartending position opened up. Famous Dave's seems to be more inclined to hire/promote from within rather than hiring a new employee. I really appreciated that, although I realize that isn't best for everyone.

Question 1
I was asked how I intended to learn how to tend bar since training would be very limited. We only had one other weekend bartender at that point so I knew my answer required a level of confidence and assurance.

Entretien
Interview was casual. Both the interviewer and the interviewee spoke about previous job experience. There was a mutual understanding that new bartenders have a hard time getting an actual bartending position and they hired me with no experience. Because of that mutual understanding I was hired & I am forever grateful.

Entretien
I went in at an open interview time. I was interviewed on the spot by the GM. He set me up for a second interview a few days later with another manager. They told me they would contact me soon after to let me know their decision. A day later I was called.
