The recruiter reached out for an initial phone screening to discuss my experience and motivation for changing jobs. Although they indicated they would provide a personal follow-up regarding my status, I instead received an automated email stating they were moving forward with other candidates. It is important to note that this was a behavioral screening, not a technical interview.
Furthermore, the job posting itself appeared to have exceptionally broad and ambitious expectations. The role required mastery across several distinct, complex fields—specifically CFD, FEA, HVDC/LVDC power distribution, EMC/EMI, and electronics packaging. Expecting a candidate with seven years of mechanical engineering experience to possess expert-level depth in every one of these specialized disciplines is, in my view, unrealistic
