Many calls with weeks between some calls, followed by an on-site interview with about four folks. Most calls were simply conversations about experience and the company. Getting information on the actual role was difficult and it wasn't until the third call that I got some insight.
They were looking for an unicorn that was an expert on networking and UX. I was quite clear I didn't fit that mold (nor does it exist), but he deflected that they'd expect me to hire a team to deliver the goals.
Nonetheless, the following on-site was mostly dedicated to four more individuals looking for a unicorn. An unfortunate waste of time, but even more importantly, they never responded with a rejection or acceptance. That's completely unacceptable at this level (and just in general).
