Entretien pour Systems Analyst @ Fragomen - London Office

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 5 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Fragomen (Londres, Angleterre) en avr. 2014

      Entretien

I was contacted by HR via Linked-In. Details were given and a telephone interview was arranged. During the telephone Interview I noted 2 concerns. 1. They had not read my employment dates correctly and were surprised that I was not in a current job. 2. They expressed concern for my time out and said I may need to prove that I was not in Jail/Prison since my last contract! I have never been asked such a question before and to be honest, I was flabbergasted. Is it even Legal to ask a candidate such a question? I took this on the chin and arranged to go in for a face to face interview and I spent considerable time preparing for that. On the day, I arrived early, suited and booted, was shown into the interview room and met 2 people. The interview was VERY in-depth, I was asked to provide details of tasks that I undertook 10 years ago. I felt this was a little demanding, however I gave very informative answers to all their questions. The interview got very intense and I felt that I was being subjected to a 'grilling'. They were very focused on finding the cracks/weaknesses in my CV/experience. The original time of 45 minutes doubled to 90 mins for the entire length and I felt that I did not crack under this pressure, I gave extremely good answers to all their questions and I remained calm and professional throughout. The HR delegate seemed to react to the fact that I had been made redundant once in the past. Again, I feel this is discriminatory. There is no shame in redundancy, it is a fact of life sometimes. Those who pick themselves up and move on are to be respected in my books. That's what I did! I was also asked several 'testing knowledge' questions, to which I can safely say I knew the answers to. I am very experienced supporting MS Office, so outlining the process steps of a Mail Merge or How to Print a Spreadsheet were easy for me to do. Again, I was only too happy to explain this to the interviewer. Finally, it is 2 weeks since the interview and I have not heard anything from the HR delegate. I find this very unprofessional and disrespectful to be honest. In the last 2 weeks I have had no clue as to their impressions, my thoughts have gone from Very Negative, to Very Positive. It is an unpleasant and awful place to be in the dark and ignored and I have no idea why there has been no feedback. Based on my personal professional experience, I would not recommend engaging with this firm if you are looking for a company who display professional courtesy or respect. I think they viewed me as 'disposable' and I question why I was even invited to Interview in the first place. It has been a complete waste of everyone's time. I shall continue to search for an employer who treats people fairly and I will be very apprehensive about future job opportunities in the legal sector.
