Started with a few positive and constructive phone interviews that took place with employees at multiple different levels. All calls were relaxed in tone and were more conversation oriented rather than an interrogation type interview. All staff was very open to questions and were helpful when it came time for my travel arrangements for my scheduled interview.

You meet with a large group of people. No one reads your resume or comes prepared. Very hectic with a great deal of chaos. It is obvious they are growing quickly and their methodology is not consistent. Seemed like a good place to start a career, but then after the interview I decided it was better for me to look at other companies.

I was recruited initially by hiring manager for several weeks based on similar ucaas background. I had multiple phone meetings with the hiring manager which he often missed initially for "personal reasons," however we did reschedule most of them until he offered to meet his Regional VP. I wasn't at that point hooked on ThinkingPhones, but he mentioned it would be a "casual" meeting and the hiring manager was pleasant enough.
When I arrived, the interview process the whole meeting was very uncomfortable. Very corporate feel to interview process with the hiring manager initially and then his VP. They claim that the interview was meant to be a "casual" meeting, however they plugged it right into a regional sales team meeting, very unprofessional.
They seemed to proud of their own company and kept mentioning their "upcoming IPO... how much seed investments we've received... [ThinkingPhones] management sold initially company to BMC for XX million, they now want XXX million." It all came off really corporate, conceded and uptight. Almost none of the conversation was around the role or what my experience could lend to the development.
Overall very disappointed that a company that's this young is already this corporate. Following the interview I withdrew my own candidacy based on the experience and overall culture fit.

Well it looks like you've only been at your last company for a year and half. Why leave now?
