      Entretien pour TCR I

      15 juin 2013
      Employé (anonyme)
      Lakeland, FL
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience positive
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez GEICO (Lakeland, FL) en mars 2009

      Entretien

There are two sets of interview. The first is a face to face interview with two supervisors who currently overseas teams for that position. They will ask you questions about work load, team help, your flexibility, and go over the basics of what they expect from the people they supervise to give you an idea of what to expect. They may or may not be the supervisors you end up being placed with. These interviews are done in batches-so several interviewees are seen in a day. The two supervisors are usually courtesy and professional during the interview even if they already know you. The purpose of the first interview is to get an idea of how good your verbal skills are and your in person composure is. If you a possible candidate for the position, then there is a second interview wherein your written skills are critiqued and your knowledge of medical insurance standards is tested. You are given a test to see how knowledgeable you are about basic medical coverage, and legal terminology. Lastly, you're given a blank sheet of paper to write out a set of letters-one to an attorney's office and another to your insured policyholder (Yes, GEICO saves money by having you write your letters on the front and back of the same sheet of paper).

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

The most difficult questions would be those pertaining to how an adjuster would handle specific cases. Each question varied for each interviewee, and each question involved complicated scenarios. You're not expected to know the "correct" answer, but it was a test on how you think. For example: If a mother who is driving a neighbor's car hits her son, what coverages are afforded or denied, and why? Or the question may be changed to: if a mother is driving a friend's car and hits her son while he's driving their family owned car, what coverages are afforded or denied, and why? The interviewee is expected to state all the coverages that could apply and why, and then any possible coverages that may not extend bases on the scenario given by the two interviewing supervisors.

It was long but very good for giving you a taste of what it is like to work there. For me I had to go back twice and did the interview in 2 stages. I preferred this as it gave me a break from what would have been a very long interview.
