      Entretien

After submitting an online application, I was instructed to take an online personality test and then I had a phone interview. The phone interview was quick and relatively easy. They scheduled an in-person interview. I went to the office and took an assessment on the computer that tests your ability to multi-task. Then I had an interview with an HR rep. This interview was quite long. The rep had a list of questions that they asked me and they would type out my answer, and then move on to the next question. They asked a lot of questions, and they didn't really seem open to conversation. They were more focused on just getting through the entire long list of questions and tediously typing out my answers. Next, they had me go into a small room and study a packet with info about a fake company. After about twenty minutes the same HR rep called a phone that was in the room with me and acted like a customer. They called several times, acting like a different policyholder each time. Afterwards, the HR rep reviewed with me how I did. Next, I shadowed a representative for 30 minutes and listened to them handle several incoming calls. Then I had a panel interview with two of the office managers. This entire process took several hours and was split into two separate days. They told me I got the job at the end of the interview on the second day. I considered not going back for the second half of the interview because it seemed like such a tedious process for the type of job I was applying for, and I was also put off by the interview with the HR rep because it seemed like they didn't really care about my answers and that it didn't matter how I answered them as long as she got through the list of questions. I got the feeling that they knew they were going to give me the job the whole time, I just had to muscle through the interview process. It just seemed silly. Long process, but each individual piece was pretty easy, looking back.
