I started applying for new roles in the fall because I wasn’t growing in my job. One of the senior managers called me the next day which was good in terms of response time. I applied at 6 firms and this was either 1. or 2. In terms of experience. I really enjoyed how they didn’t waste time asking me fluff questions about where I see myself in 5 years or my biggest weakness (see Accenture and BMO). They just gave me some example taxes to complete and books to consolidate to see if I could even do the job. Everyone was really nice and professional. I received a competitive offer which I liked but ended up staying at my dads firm where I work now because one of his staff got sick and he promised me more responsibility.
