J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 5 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez GitLab (Paris) en mai 2022
Entretien
The entire process took around 4 to 5 weeks. First call with a recruiter, then a call with the manager, followed by a call with the SMB director and finally a mock sales call with both the SMB director and the manager.
While the first interviews went very well, I was extremely disapointed by how the whole process ended : On the last call (the mock sales call), both interviewers arrived 10 minutes late to the interview and didn't apologize nor addressed it.
At the end of that call, they told me the recruiter would come back to me during the first half of the following week.
At the end of the week where I was supposed to get an answer I still had not heard from the recruiter so I sent an email asking for updates, he replied with an email that only had "apologies i'll check" in it.
5 minutes later, I received an automated rejection email and never heard from anyone from GitLab ever again. I completely understand I could have not been a good fit but I still asked for feedback or some comments and never received any.
I was extremely disapointed to be a part of a 5 week process and go through 4 interviews, just to get an automated email in the end.
GitLab talks a lot about their values on their website and their handbook. They say that constructive feedback and transparency is important to them but in the end it's all talk.

The recruiting / interview process was seamless and transparent, just like the company & product - I always knew what to expect and felt supported every step of the way. They are respectful of you and your time, ensuring that the process doesn’t last for weeks and weeks like typical interview processes. The interview itinerary software they use keeps everything super organized & transparent. Interview questions were pretty normal, and they provide lots of resources to help you prepare. There really are no trick questions, they are just genuinely trying to get to know you and your professional experience.

The interview process was three pretty casual interviews with one of them being a chronological interview. The fourth interview was a mock call with the director of sales as the buyer.
