      J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Global Relay (Vancouver, BC) en juil. 2015

      Entretien

      Applied on their site and didn't hear back for over a month. Set up a phone interview with them and talked to two people from their team. The one guy was rude and seemed like he would rather being doing anything else. Managed to get an in person interview and a design challenge. Somewhere in there they changed the role from Interaction Designer to Interaction Developer (what ever that is). The design challenge seemed to solve a real problem they were having so it felt like I was doing free work. Worse was they told me that the technology that I was suppose to consider to solve the problem, I didn't need to know anything about. Not sure how I am suppose to design something using a technology that i don't at lease have a cursory understanding of how it works. By the third interview and talking with their team, I felt that it was a place that had a number of adversarial personalities and that getting work done would be an uphill battle. I also got the impression that they wanted a developer that could design, even though programming was not part of the job.

      applied for the job, took about 2 weeks for them to get back to me. I had to do an assignment which took about 4-8 hours as a first test, a big waste of time. After passing this part, I went in for an in person interview, only to be told that they had about 10 other candidates, and will be interviewing more people that apply. I went home only to find out that they just put a refreshed posting for the job on craigslist AGAIN. obviously if a company is interviewing 10 more candidates, and are looking for more, they don't know what they are doing, and have just wasted everyone's time. I had passed this part and there was still a cultural fit interview coming up. However I heard back 2 weeks later to the news that they decided not to proceed with my candidacy. If you're going to make everyone go through the trouble of a phone interview, assignment, and an in-person interview, dont be wasting that person's time if you're still looking for fresh candidates. this is just unethical
