Applied twice online before I finally got a reply to set up a phone interview. When I finally got the interview, recruiter asked me multiple questions about what I wanted to do in the future trying to get me to get me to give an exact timeline of my future endeavors. When I mentioned I wanted to move from sales to marketing he asked what my timeline for that was and I unknowingly said 1-2 years. It was then that he said “I’m going to have to stop the interview now because we want long term sales people.” And ended the interview right there to my utter disbelief. I thought it was very unprofessional of him to not continue with the interview.
Very quick process, one recruiter interview and the onsite that has 3 interviews the same day. Recruiter interview went well and taught me a lot about the culture at Gusto
