I applied through a job portal and within a week I received an email to schedule a phone interview. After a successful phone interview I was assigned a take at home task to be completed within 3-5 days that tested basic payroll tax compliance knowledge and problem solving skills. Within a week of turning it in, I received a request to set up an in-person interview. This was a 2+ hour interview with five various members of the team which included some more knowledge testing, problem solving, and plenty of opportunity to ask questions and perspectives from different departments of the company. The environment was super friendly and comfortable. The following week I received an offer, but had to wait a few more weeks for orientation/on-boarding. In total, the process took a little bit over a month but it was well worth the wait and from day one the Gusto team makes you feel appreciated and welcome.
