This must have been the most incompetent interview process in which I have ever engaged! I received an e-mail from the coordinator, a girl claiming she was impressed by my resume and who wanted to schedule a phone call for a Friday. Well, that time on Friday came and went, but she never called. I sent an e-mail reminder to her, but never got a response. The next week, I got a text from her apologizing, stating that she had gone out of town the previous Friday (great planning, huh?). We rescheduled and had a short phone interview. During the call, she invited me in for a face-to-face interview. On the interview date, I arrived early, but she kept me waiting for more than 15 minutes past our original start time. During the interview, she and I were also on video call with the President of HNL Consulting. From talking with them, I discovered the job advertisement to be HORRIBLY inaccurate. First, they did not want a "Chinese language translator," but an English teacher, and one who would not only teach, but design all the lessons and send them to the coordinator by the end of March. Second, the dates were totally wrong: instead of the entire summer, they just wanted someone for the month of July (even the President was surprised at this when the coordinator told him). Finally, the job advertisement did not say anything about the work being during weekdays (some of us have full-time jobs you know), and that this "summer camp" was meant to be stepping stone for teaching English in China half the year. We concluded the interview. The coordinator did not even mention when I should expect to hear, but I just sent her an e-mail a few days afterwards, stating this job would not fit my schedule, and that the job advertisement had omitted crucial information. I never heard back. I really don't appreciate these incompetents wasting my time likes this. AVOID THEM!
