I was invited for 2 hours interview, but when I arrived I had to wait 20min for "the manager", as he had a coffee with his friend. Then we went to office where he couldn't find conference room and we went to dining room. So I had an interview in dining room among other people, in quite noisy place. After 1h talk he said that I will be having another round and he was trying to find a dev who might talk to me. We were walking around that office and this guys was asking few dev for help. So finally I had a another round with a dev. We were talking in conf room, but after few minutes another person asked us to leave, so we have found another room.
Guys, this was the most horrible interview in my life. I don't recommend HSBC in Hong Kong - falcon project - weak devs, managers without respect to candidates.

Question 1
OOP, low latency, multithreading etc - nothing unusual except one thing. Dev asked me about method synchronization, so I said that synchronized is a one way (not that efficient, but a way), an he said that this is not enough, as I need to call notify() method!!! Guys, this was the most insane what I heard during interview. After that I suggested to finish the interview as there is a gap between mine and his knowledge.
If you are smart, and you know your value, don't go there, wasted time.

Coding Assessment was conducted initially.
The Technical Round was face-to-face, where the panel mainly focused on understanding of core concepts, especially OOPS, and a clear explanation of my project workflow and architecture.
HR Round was also completed, which included discussion about previous company work culture and compensation / offer details.
