Did a phone screen and was invited on site for an initial in-person interview. I thought I was interviewing for an iOS Developer position but was asked a bunch of UNIX/LINUX kernel system type of questions such as memory management, processor kernel algorithms, BASH, pipes, etc. The interviewer admitted that he knew nothing about iOS development nonetheless he asked fairly technical UNIX questions anyway. I was surprised at the questions as my resume did not indicate advanced knowledge of UNIX/LINUX but attempted to dredge memories of my Operating Systems college class out during the interview.
