Anticipate poor communication from this lab during the application/interview process. After an initial 30 minute phone interview that consisted of detailed questions outlining prior experience, skills and future goals, I sent a standard, yet professional, follow-up email a week later thanking them for their time expressing continued interest. For background, my experience met their qualifications. I was entirely ghosted - the only laboratory to ghost me after an interview during my job search. It's astonishing that a company would invest time in conducting an interview and then completely ghost a candidate without as much as a simple email reply. I will add that in years prior, I applied to Hera for a similar position, and received a reply EIGHT MONTHS later (long after I started a new position). I would strongly caution any potential candidates investing their time and energy in pursuing opportunities with Hera, as their repeated actions suggest a lack of professionalism and common courtesy. It's a clear indication that they do not value the candidate experience or basic etiquette in their recruitment process.
