      Entretien

This was by far the worst interview experience I ever had. I was invited for an interview at the end of a week (lets call it Feb 4th 2022) and the interview was scheduled for Friday the following week (Feb 11th, 2022). I prepared extensively only to get a text message 30 minutes before my interview that read "Hi __! This is __ with Hometap! I'm so sorry I'm unexpectedly out of office this afternoon, is there any chance we could reschedule our phone call". I understand of course that things pop up but would have appreciated a bigger heads up. I responded by saying it would be okay, and asked when they would like to move it to. The interviewer said Monday would work for them and I responded by saying I was free. They responded by saying "Yes perfect give me just a few minutes to get back to my calendar". Minutes turned into hours which turned into days. I finally heard back Monday at 9:30am (Feb 14th, 2022) when I got a text that asked me if Thursday at 9:30 would work. I responded the next day and told them that Thursday was busy for me but that I was free Friday (this would be the 18th). I was then ghosted and had to email the company asking if I was still in consideration (I emailed on what would have been the 22nd) to which a different recruited told me I was. They schedule something for that Friday (would be 25th in this story). The interview was scheduled for 11:30am and the interviewer called me a couple of minutes early and proceeded to explain me the role. 3-4 mins in she asked me to tell them about myself, which I then did (probably 1-2 minutes) and they responded with cool. They didn't ask me about any of my experience, didn't ask me to elaborate on anything, and honestly couldn't have cared less about who I was. They then talked for another 1-2 mins about what next steps would look like should I be moved on and hung up. The call lasted 8 minutes which was the shortest interview I had ever had (still holds the record). I then heard back the following tuesday (almost 1 month after I was invited to interview) that read "Thank you for taking the time to chat with me. I had the opportunity to touch base with the team and discuss our conversation and your background. After much consideration, they've made the decision to not move forward at this time. That being said, we’d like to keep your resume on file as our team continues to grow." Now that is okay but I was super offended because I don't know much consideration they could have had about my candidacy based on how my interview went. I wrote an email asking them to elaborate but never sent it in anticipation that they wouldn't respond. I wasn't going to write this but future candidates have a right to know. Apply at your own risk. They might treat you like a piece of trash but I promise you not all companies will.

      Question 1

"Tell me about yourself" The only question they asked wasn't long enough for glassdoor's minimum
