I had the first interview via Skype with their Product Owner, and it was a great conversation. She said that she was looking for someone like me in the design team and everything, and I was pretty confident that I could get the job. She said that they would send me a test and that she would verify how is the process for getting me a work visa to work in the Montreal Office. I waited for a week, and nothing happened — no test, no message, nothing. I tried to make contact with her and the HR, who was taking care of the process and nothing. So I think it was a tremendous lack of respect and empathy with someone who admired the company and was even a user of the app.

It started with a recruiter call, which was pleasant, and then I was given a design challenge immediately. It would've been nice to be able to talk to the hiring manager first before jumping right into the design challenge.
