I was asked to submit my interview via a recording platform. There is also an option to practice your interview, however practice mode is different from what the actual interview was
like. Months had gone by and I kept following up, but I unfortunately never heard back. Quite the shame, as I spent a lot of time prepping and would’ve appreciated at least an automated email informing me that I did not make it to the next round.
Entretien
Interview Process:
The process consisted of three rounds. The first was a written assignment focused on donor engagement strategy and ethical considerations in fundraising. The second was a Zoom interview with two regional staff—questions were mostly behavioral and scenario-based (e.g., “How would you handle a donor who wants visibility in a sensitive campaign?”). The final round was with a senior staff member based in New York and included questions about power dynamics in philanthropy, DEI practices, and team management.
Interview Questions:
Tell us about a time you managed a donor relationship that became ethically complicated.
How do you approach balancing donor expectations with organizational values?
Describe your experience working across different time zones and cultures.
What is your understanding of unrestricted funding and how would you communicate its importance?
