Received a recruiter email few weeks after application inviting me to interview. No phone screen, no call from recruiter whatsoever. Scheduled interview with 7 people. On day of interview only 2 people show up. Even though the role states they are looking for an architect, all of the questions have a very narrow scope. It quickly becomes obvious that they are looking for a SysAdmin rather than someone who knows design patterns and best practices as there was not a single question pertaining to solution design. After this round of questions, the interview is essentially cut short after 30 minutes and they did not even ask if I had any questions. It should have been a red flag that the recruiter never even bothered to call and scheduled a panel interview from the start. I suspect they already had a candidate in mind and had to "check the box" to say they interviewed more than one person. Overall I feel like they wasted my time and that the interview was not in good faith.
