Day one basic interview with little to no discussion of the role of the job and expectations. I was called back the next day for a days observation which turned out to be cold calling door to door sales in residential areas. Decided the job wasn't for me after half an hour of observation.

I was greeted by a nice, friendly Manager Assistant to find I was completely mislead with the application advertised, they're not looking for customer service advisors they're looking for street campaigners. How a Customer Service Advisor role is advertised for a Street Campaigner, I don't know. The Interviewer explained to me how all the Applicants go through a '4 step process' using really ambitious words telling me that it will take 6-12 months. It wasn't until he explained to me how the customers are not contacted by phone, but in person that something wasn't right. Why would any individual with existing customer service experience, work through a 'personal development' of 6-12 months in the streets to finally work in that position? They are simply trying to find as many interviewees to work for them by advertising false job specifications. Not only that, I had an interview arranged for two companies in the same building (the second one is called Mazonai) and there is something very suspicious going on here. Both companies have similar websites (most likely designed by the same company) and the Manager for the second company was in the cubical right next to me, so when I kindly declined the first interview and arrived back at the reception, I asked the receptionist if the second company was a similar company, I was curious if the second interview was going to ask me the same question this is when the Mazonai Manager came in to inform me that she over heard the interview and that unfortunately she feels the role she too has advertised I wouldn't be looking for. I looked into both of these Companies and generally was looking forwards to these interviews and was really disappointed to find it was a complete waste of my time.
