I applied for the Corporate Paralegal through a job board. Soon after applying, I was contacted via email by the person who would be the manager for this position. After numerous back-and-forth emails, we set a time for a phone interview.
During the phone interview, the would-be manager constantly complained that they couldn't hear me, so I had to repeat most of what I said. After a 30 min, or so, phone interview, I received an email to set a time for an in-person interview. I responded to the email immediately and set the time for the next day.
I didn't receive a confirmation, so I emailed again, and the manager claimed that they "didn't receive me email", but agreed to meet later that day.
We met for an hour long in person interview. The interview was fairly generic and most mostly conversation about the position. For whatever reason, the manager was still hung up about "not being able to hear me" during our phone interview, but from what I understood, I was going to be passed on to the CEO for probable hire, and I was supposed to received an invitation for another phone interview with two corporate persons in Pennsylvania.
That was two weeks ago, and I haven't heard anything since. The job is still posted, so I guess they haven't hired anyone. I've been ghosted so many times in the past 2 years that I can't even get mad about it anymore, but I feel I have a responsibility to let other people know what to expect before they interview.
