A hiring manager from India Syndicate got in touch with me and asked if I would be interested in the role. She gave me the basic details about the role, the JD, work timings and other details. I asked if a telephonic interview/test could be arranged (as I was traveling), but she said that was not possible. I confirmed an interview date and went to the Microsoft office in Noida, UP, India. One of the content managers met me and asked me for my educational details, work experience and about my interest in journalism. I then had to complete a short grammar test, which took 20 minutes. After they corrected it, I was given two slideshow tasks to complete. I was told the process would take an hour or so; I was in the office from 12:30 PM to 6 PM. I was not even offered water or given a lunch break, and the vibe at the office was terrible.
