The process was very lengthy and it was very difficult to get my foot in the door. A friend of mine finally recommended me when she was leaving her position. I had one interview with the department manager and she told me during the interview that she planned to hire me, but that action would be delayed due to a hiring freeze. It was four months before she called me to offer me the position.

I applied directly to IU Health and was applying to a variety of positions. 2 months to the date of my submission, I received a message to set up an interview. I went to my interview the next day with my future manager and a team lead. They asked me about myself, which always throws me for a loop, but when it came to talking about my experience and what I knew about the position already, I did well and felt that it was a well rounded interview.
