I interviewed with Infinity (two interviews) in December and was rang the day after the second interview by the Technical Manager who gave positive feedback and said they would like to make me an offer which was 5k below the maximum salary on the job description. I waited until January to catch up with the hiring manager and after a week of chasing them up and receiving responses such as “I will chase X person today and should have an update for you today”, “the offer has been put in and is waiting for sign off at CEO level”, I received an apologetic phone call to say that they are no longer hiring for the role as they have decided they do not have the capacity. The whole situation has been really weird and probably the most unprofessional hiring process I have ever been involved in. I cannot understand why you would interview (and make a verbal offer) for a role that you have not even signed off yet. The interview itself was a good experience and everybody was friendly and informative, and the communications with the hiring manager were positive but the overall experience with this company has been bizarre and I cannot help but feel like they have completely wasted my time.
