Thanks for your feedback! We have been constantly improving the interview process and always good to have first hand feedback. Laptop is actually not needed for the in-person coding test and hence we have already gotten rid of it. And with respect to your programming, it was a simple exercise and unfortunately it did not go well so. We were able to decisively determine the outcome of the interview hence there was no point in beating around the bush so our HR thanked for your time called it a day. I think that is totally fair, unfortunately it didn't go your way.
