The interview process is nothing I experienced before. Upon your first interview as you entered the building and speak with the receptionist, they start your with a 52 question test in which you only have 12 minutes to complete. Not sure about the intent of this since they didn’t share any input. Be ready to be part of a 1 month 1 1/2 time to be interviews from the Site Director, VP, President and eventually the CEO.
During my experience, I was I interviewed by HR and all those above mentioned. I was asked to do a 30/60/90 days action plan and also drive down to Miami to meet the President and VP in person and conduct another interview with them, then I was moved to the CEO who was 20 minutes late, spoke and asked about politics and even asked for my place of origin. A HUGE NO-NO!! Not only I put together the onboarding plan for the new manager, I accrued extra charges for driving down 4 hours, staying at a hotel to meet the CEO who rushed me out in less than20 minutes.
I was praised and even given tips from every person I interviewed with. I was led to believe the job was mine but the CEO made me feel discriminated. I asked for feedback as to why I didn’t get it to improve myself to be told by every person along the way that they were as surprised as I was that I was not chosen and they were not given any feedback to share with me.
My suggestion to you:
If you have an accent don’t bother applying
If you don’t have 2 months of time to be interviewed, don’t bother
If you don’t like to feel discriminated, don’t bother.
On a good side, the company does have leaders who care about their associates. Just the head thinks his better than anyone else. By the way, I’m not the only person mentioning being discriminated by an accent. I worked with multiple fortune 100 companies who’s never complaint nor discriminated someone from not being born out of a white family.
