Underwent a really slow interview process that felt tailored for a Senior ML Engineer role, starting with an online coding exam and followed by several in-depth technical interviews. These sessions spanned a wide range of topics, including software engineering, data structures, Python, system design, and machine learning, requiring detailed explanations and a profound understanding of the concepts, along with memorization of numerous mathematical formulas, reminiscent of a university-level oral exam. The additional assignment was particularly time-consuming, demanding several days of dedicated effort focused on structure, clarity, and a well-explained presentation. It would be hard for people with existing full-time jobs to complete. Despite the opportunity for substantial learning and growth, the process felt inefficient and was conducted in an overly serious atmosphere.
