I had a phone interview, basic questions about my resume and my experience. Interviewer gave me some basic STAR formatted questions and I responded with a STAR formatted answer. No technical questions.
Received an e-mail regarding an on-site interview process. I sent my date and confirmed. The day that I was supposed to have the interview, however, I got a call saying that the hiring process was placed on hold. Needless to say, they probably found their person and went with them.
Background information: I applied for a PT position, but it had potential to go FT. The base pay was $15 ~ $18 then. They're just now (as of this date) posting up a FT position but the wage is much lower now ($13-$16). Not sure why that is.
Anyway, just a word of advice for anyone still trying to get a job--don't get discouraged when companies does these kind of things. There's opportunities everywhere. Just keep applying and continue to sharpen your skills.
Companies can let you go for any reason, at any time. Always look to improve and find a career where you have a niche skill. Good luck!
