JCPenney SALON ELMHURST STORE,
I had worked in this salon in 2005 until family illness caused me to leave.aside from any workplace gossip and repeated theft from employees it was a nice workplace which I bought a lot too, my client base was solid and my daily product sales superceded the monthly quoter.
After 10 years I started to receive phone calls from JCPenney asking if I would like to return and I thought why not I live across the street, well here is where all hell started. I had to re-interview which was no problem, that being said HR never got back to me despite my calls,I let it go and 8 months later I went through the same ordeal.I let it go and advised the store manager who NEVER helped even though she said that she would.
Two years later they did it again,I went in and interviewed and the salon manager wanted me to get word to my clients that I was going to start within a month if that. Well, HR claimed that they needed my application on the computer " it was " and I filled out the application.I then went in and spoke to one of 3 people in HR who said that I needed to set up a demo and I did .This is simply a new policy. I called and emailed my clients to advise them that I was moving to that store and they would pay 75% less for my services.HR never got back to me about the demo even though I called 8 times and spoke to the 3 woman and the senior told me " I promise to call you in 3 days to complete your start date She never did call nor did the others even though I communicated several times. I even went as far as contacting the former store manager who worked at the same store when I did, she filled me with promises an never communicated again. I'm fine not working for the company since I earn what they could never afford to me .That being said they have a ridiculous hiring policy for the salon, someone from HR has to watch you cut hair with the salon manager. Now I'd like to know what do they know to look for since they're not licensed cosmetologist for starters.
I never did my demo since they ignored me and I had to give my clients a free service to appease them.
HR and management are a joke to not only my industry but also theirs.Do yourself a favor and work in the city with the best of the best and stay clear of time wasters with no moral compass

Question 1
Tell me about yourself? How would you handle a stressful client?
Brought two clients in. One for baby light grey blend and one for cut and style. All the product and materials were there it was so seamless didn't cost my two clients anything for these services
