This was an internal interview for a promotion. A few weeks after turning in a resume, I had an initial sit-down with a salaried member of management, and then came back to do "Talent Try-Outs" (presented with various situations and asked how I'd respond to them). After that, I spoke to the store manager a few times. Shortly thereafter, I was offered the job.

I applied and an hour later got a call to setup an interview two days later. I interviewed with the GM and the first thing she said was she would never consider me for merchandise supervisor position,which I am qualified for, but instead wanted me to be hired in as a sales/cashier associate. I just wish she would have told me this on the phone so I didn't waste my time.
