Met with front office manager in the hotel restaurant for an informal interview where we discussed my experience and the hotel environment and culture. Hiring manager expressed great interest asking me when I could start which made me think I basically had the role, but was soon let down by HR not giving me an offer. This was really unfortunate and disappointing. I wish they would advise hiring managers to not give any indications such as this before speaking with HR.
