I was referred by an existing employee, who assisted in setting up a phone interview. The phone interview was successful and we mutually agreed to an in person interview, which seemed to go very well. However, they "went dark" for a few weeks. After a few email follow ups they advised that the position was given to an internal candidate with some in-depth knowledge of the political landscape in which the position would function.
