Applied to their newly re-branded QuantPort investment management division. Phone screen with team lead, talked about current work and where they are trying to go. Had online python test with 3/4 problems, general complexity although some curveballs. Called in to NYC for 4-5 hours of interviews. Seemed like great guys and interesting work, but decided against making the move to NYC for now.

I was told to meet the hiring manager at the first round on-site interview. However, the hiring manager disappeared and the front desk knew nothing about the interview. The recruiter reconnected me with one of the team members, so that I was able to get in. The interview lasted from 9am to maybe 2pm, with only water for refreshment.
I was later asked to do a second round of on-site interview, which was the same as the first one, except that the hiring manager appeared at last. Later, I received a rejection from the hiring manager citing a reason that was simply the opposite of what I had said during the interview and written on my resume.
