I was hired in 2000 and the industry was very different. At the time the company was in the middle of hiring 3000 employees in 9 months. Positions within the company are hard to come by and interviewers typically apply a great deal of stress to understand their true personality.

How confident was I that my military training would transfer to the private sector.
Mix of technical and non technical questions. Met with several team members. On site interview at Boise over the course of 6-7 hours. KLA paid for travel and lodging and the whole experience was smooth.

Professional recruiters, I applied for position online and they contacted me after 1 week. Interesting pre screening, nothing about my technical backgrounds but only motivation to the position. They preferred another person with more skills and experience
